Tornado Red Appears for the First Time on a Passat Variant

The "Passat Variant," powered by a 1.4-liter turbo engine paired with a 7-speed transmission, delivers a maximum output of 90kW (122ps) at 5,000rpm and peak torque of 200Nm (20.4kgm) between 1,500-4,000rpm, while achieving fuel efficiency of 17.6km/ℓ. This special edition model has arrived. It is a sporty variant, supervised by "Volkswagen R GmbH," the company that supports Volkswagen's motorsport activities, including WRC, and features exclusive "R" equipment.

The special edition "Passat Variant R-Line Edition" features stylish aero parts and exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels on its exterior. The interior is also enhanced with exclusive fabric seats featuring "R" logos on the headrests, creating a sporty ambiance.



Beyond its interior and exterior, the model also boasts a sports suspension as standard, promising a distinctly sportier driving experience compared to the regular "Passat Variant." The "Tornado Red" color is adopted for the first time on a Passat Variant. Along with the standard Candy White, Reflex Silver Metallic, Night Blue Metallic, and Deep Black Pearl Effect, a total of five colors are available.

The price is 3,499,000 yen, which is 158,000 yen less than the entry-grade "TSI Comfortline."
