Custom Order for The Beetle Starts for a Limited Time



Volkswagen Group Japan announced on the 23rd that it will offer special made-to-order vehicles for "The Beetle" and "The Beetle Cabriolet" for a limited time. A dedicated website has been launched, and orders will be accepted for approximately two months from Saturday, April 26th to Monday, June 30th.

Choose Your Own Unique Car from 4.5 Million Possibilities


Volkswagen Group Japan is launching its first custom order system, with the slogan "Create Your Own 'The Beetle' Project." The BeetleThe base model for this project is the entry-grade "Design," equipped with a 1.2-liter engine. The open-top model, "The Beetle Cabriolet" also shares the same powertrain as the "Design."

In this custom order project, customers can choose from 10 body colors, including three colors newly introduced for this program, as well as interior and roof specifications and colors, and aluminum wheels. For those who wish to express even greater individuality, further customization is possible through paid options specially offered only during the order period, such as wrapping the body with decorative film.






The roof of The Beetle can be selected from three types: the same color as the body, painted black, or a power panoramic sliding sunroof. For The Beetle Cabriolet, the roof is a soft top, and customers can choose between beige and black. Additionally, a variety of paid options are available, including equipment such as keyless entry and changes to the design and size of the wheels.

The number of possible combinations is approximately 4.5 million. To own a unique The Beetle and The Beetle Cabriolet that is unlike any other, we encourage you to first simulate your own custom car on the dedicated website. Prices start at 2.78 million yen for The Beetle and 3.99 million yen for The Beetle Cabriolet.
