A Stylish Limited Edition Named for "Envy"

On the 8th, Peugeot Citroën Japon announced a special limited edition "208 envy" for Peugeot's compact hatch "208." Sales will begin on Tuesday, April 15th, with a limited production of 200 units.

Interior-Coordinated Seatbelts Add a Stylish Accent

Just this January, the Peugeot "208" received a new powertrain. It now features the "PureTech" system, combining a downsized 1.2-liter inline 3-cylinder DOHC engine with a newly developed 5-speed ETG automated manual transmission. This setup delivers a maximum output of 60kW/5,750rpm and peak torque of 118Nm/2,750rpm. The adoption of an idling stop system also contributes to improved fuel efficiency, achieving 19.4 km/ℓ.208This special limited edition, named "envy" to signify "envy," is a 5-door model. The interior features a combination of fabric and Alcantara. Specially designed seatbelts are color-coordinated, creating a stylish atmosphere. A step guard serves as an accent, and the steering wheel, like that of the 3-door model, is crafted from Nappa leather with perforated detailing on the grip areas. The exterior is enhanced with newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels.

Available in three colors—Bianca White, Perla Nera Black, and Blossom Grey—the limited production run is capped at 200 units. Despite its array of features, the price is set at 2.09 million yen, making it 130,000 yen less than the entry-grade 5-door model, the "208 Premium."
