A New "Face" Adorned with a Floating Grille and LED Lamps

The "5008," which arrived in Japan last February as Peugeot's first minivan sold domestically, offers a 7-seat, 3-row configuration, versatile seat arrangements including full-flat capability, and a generous luggage space, making it a rare minivan in the import car market.

This facelift introduces a "floating grille" to the front, seen on the "508" and "208," clearly identifying it as the latest Peugeot family member. The sharp headlights are complemented by LED positioning lamps that accentuate their edges.

There are no changes to the powertrain; a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine producing 156ps is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Despite its minivan body, the 5008's dedicated oil-filled rubber bushes in the suspension, designed to achieve Peugeot's signature agile handling, are carried over.

The model lineup remains unchanged, with two grades: the entry-level "5008 Premium" and the luxury grade "5008 Ciel" equipped with features like a panoramic glass roof.



Inside, the center console design has been updated. The "Ciel" grade now comes standard with a color head-up display that allows drivers to view various information while looking ahead. Additionally, optional packages include a leather package, and a video package featuring a 7-inch rear-seat monitor (for both left and right seats) and two Bluetooth rechargeable headphones.

Following the facelift, the price including the 5% consumption tax is 3.09 million yen for the "Premium" and 3.39 million yen for the "Ciel."
