Porsche Opens Reservations for New 911 Targa in Japan
PorschePorsche Japan has announced the domestic pricing for the new "911 Targa," which was just unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. Reservations will begin on February 1st.

The Most Luxurious 911
Detroit Motor Showdebuted the "911 Targa" which, unlike the previous generation's all-glass roof that could be opened, now features a power-retractable roof. With the C-pillars removed and a curved glass rear, its open-air silhouette now echoes the original Targa.
The Japanese lineup will be offered in two models with different engines. Both share standard features including 4WD, a 7-speed PDK transmission, and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) specifically designed for the Targa.
The "911 Targa 4," powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing 350 ps, achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 282 km/h when equipped with the Sport Chrono Package. It also boasts impressive fuel efficiency of 8.7 L/100km (approximately 11.5 km/L) based on European measurements.
The "911 Targa 4S," with its 3.8-liter engine delivering 400 ps, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. Its top speed reaches 296 km/h. European fuel consumption is 9.2 L/100km (approximately 10.9 km/L), with CO2 emissions at 214 g/km.
With delivery expected from April onwards, the Japanese prices, including 8% consumption tax, are 15 million yen for the 911 Targa 4 and 18 million yen for the 911 Targa 4S. Currently, the "911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet" and "911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet," also open-top 4WD 911 models sold domestically, are priced at 14.84 million yen and 17.74 million yen respectively (including 5% consumption tax). Even considering the tax increase, the price difference is minimal.
