Available in Four Colors, Including "Pepper Grey Metallic," New to the Polo

Following the "Polo Active" released last year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Volkswagen's introduction to Japan, the "Polo Active 2" was launched to meet demand before the consumption tax increase. This time, it is available in four colors, including Pepper Grey Metallic, which is offered for the first time for the Polo.


The base model is the "Polo TSI Comfortline BlueMotion Technology," which combines a 1.2-liter turbo engine producing a maximum output of 77kW (105ps) with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG). It also features an idling stop function and a brake energy recovery system, achieving fuel economy of 21.2 km/L.

The Polo Active 2 comes standard with the genuine navigation system "712SDCW," which allows users to view information such as news, weather forecasts, and social media by connecting an iPhone (iOS5), as well as exclusive 15-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, it features front fog lamps integrated into the front bumper, as seen on the higher-grade "Polo Highline," giving it a more stylish and sharp appearance.


Sales figures are 300 units for Pepper Grey Metallic. Candy White and Deep Black Pearl Effect will each have 600 units, while the popular Flash Red will have 500 units. The price for all, including the 5% consumption tax, is 2.32 million yen.
