Body Colors: Three Options Including Orange Metallic

Launched in Japan in September 2012, theup!" serves as the entry-level model in Volkswagen's lineup, succeeding the "Lupo." Simultaneously, it represents Volkswagen's vision for city commuters, both present and future, with developments like the EV model "e-up!" and the ultra-fuel-efficient hybrid boasting 90 km/ℓ, unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show, the "twin up!". Its commitment is also evident in its safety features; despite being a compact model, it comes standard with "City Emergency Brake" (low-speed collision avoidance and mitigation braking).


The limited edition "Orange Up!," featuring a striking orange interior, is based on the four-door model. The powertrain consists of a 1-liter, 3-cylinder engine producing 75 ps, paired with a 5-speed ASG (Automated Single-Clutch Transmission). It achieves a fuel economy of 23.1 km/ℓ.

In addition to the exclusive Hot Orange Metallic for this model, the body colors include Deep Black Pearl Effect and Reflex Silver Metallic, totaling three options. The car is fitted with larger 16-inch alloy wheels, surpassing the 15-inch wheels found on the higher-grade "high up!"


The interior is equally distinctive, featuring vivid orange dash pads and a leather sports steering wheel accented with orange stitching, among other exclusive items.

The limited production run comprises 650 units in Hot Orange Metallic, 200 in Deep Black Pearl Effect, and 150 in Reflex Silver Metallic, for a total of 1,000 vehicles. The price, including 5% consumption tax, is 1.89 million yen.
