CT Facelifted with Spindle Grille, Now Available in Japan
Lexushas released a minor model change for its dedicated hybrid compact, the "CT200h," with sales beginning on the 16th. The new design incorporates Lexus's design icon, the spindle grille.

Interior Combinations Expanded to Approximately 80 Variations
Unveiled at the ChinaGuangzhou International Motor Show last November,Tokyo Motor Show, the minor change model of the CT200h, which was also exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show, has gone on sale in Japan. Its most striking feature is likely the facelift with the large spindle grille that Lexus is increasingly adopting.
To complement the powerful spindle grille, the design has been updated with a front bumper that emphasizes width and a rear bumper with a lower, more grounded appearance.
Improvements in body rigidity, along with enhanced sound insulation and absorption materials, have led to increased quietness and ride comfort. The strengthened body, achieved through additional spot welding points and the use of structural adhesives to bond the body as a whole and suppress flex, also contributes to steering stability.
In the interior, the selection of seat upholstery, interior colors, and ornament panel patterns has been expanded to approximately 80 combinations. The standard audio speakers utilize plant-derived opal extracted from natural bamboo, a world-first, to reproduce clear sound with minimal distortion. Additionally, a 4.2-inch TFT color multi-information display is equipped, showing navigation and audio information within the meter cluster.
The body is available in 11 colors, including the newly developed "Madder Red," touted for its high brightness and saturation. A self-restoring coat that can repair minor scratches from washing has also been adopted. Prices range from 3.56 million to 4.48 million yen, including a 5% consumption tax.
