The 911 Carrera Reaches New Heights
The 911 Carrera GTS has been added to the 2WD 911 Carrera series, taking its place at the pinnacle of the lineup. The 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet joins it. Porsche Japan has begun accepting pre-orders for these vehicles, which represent a further leap in both equipment and specifications.

A Wider Body and Fat Tires to Support It
The 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet made their world premiere at the Paris Motor Show, which opened on September 30th.
Despite being rear-wheel drive, the 911 Carrera GTS features the same body size as the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4. This is the first time a wide body, identical to that of the Carrera 4, has been adopted for a 2WD 911 Carrera. This allows for the fitment of fat 305/30 R 19 rear tires. These tires are fitted with the center-lock RS Spyder wheels, originally an optional feature for the 911 Turbo. These aluminum wheels are notably lightweight and finished in a matte black.
Tuning Flaps Increased to Six for Enhanced Filling Efficiency
The 3.8-liter flat-six boxer engine in the 911 Carrera GTS features a dedicated resonance intake manifold with six tuning flaps, an increase from the previous single flap. These flaps switch geometry to optimize output and torque smoothly. This improves cylinder filling efficiency, providing rich torque even in the mid-range. Combined with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) to enhance mixture diffusion, CO2 emissions are 240g/km with fuel consumption at 10.2 l/100km (New European Driving Cycle, NEDC), ensuring high combustion efficiency in line with Porsche Intelligent Performance.
Compared to the 911 Carrera S, the maximum output is 23 ps higher at 408 ps, approaching the 435 ps recorded by the 911 GT3. Maximum torque is increased by 10 Nm to 420 Nm. This is delivered at 4200 rpm, 200 rpm lower than the Carrera S. This combination ensures high efficiency and powerful performance. In terms of acceleration, with the PDK equipped with the Sport Chrono Package Plus and set to Sport Plus mode, it achieves a more than adequate 4.2-second acceleration, 0.1 seconds faster than the Carrera S.
Furthermore, black accents are used on various parts, similar to the wheels, visually emphasizing the sporty character throughout. On the exterior, this includes the outer shells of the dual-tube twin exhaust tailpipes and the SportDesign front apron with a lip spoiler. In the interior, the center sections of the sport seats for the driver and front passenger, as well as areas touched by the driver and passenger (the rim of the 3-spoke SportDesign steering wheel, the shift lever, and the handbrake lever), are covered in black Alcantara.
Additionally, the "Carrera GTS" logo is featured in either black or silver on the doors and engine hood, varying with the body color.
Both models are available with left-hand or right-hand drive. The price for the 911 Carrera GTS is ¥16,040,000, and for the Cabriolet, it is ¥18,520,000.
