Since its debut as the "190 Class" in 1982, the C-Class has been a cornerstone of Mercedes-Benz, with over 8 million units sold worldwide.As we recently reported the announcement of the new model in Germany,the model sold in Japan (W204) is nearing the end of its lifecycle, yet it recorded sales of over 15,000 units in Japan last year.


The newly established special edition "C 180 Edition C" is a "value-packed" model, positioned just above the entry-grade, yet it is equipped with a wide array of features. The powertrain consists of a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder direct-injection turbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 115 kW (156 hp) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm (25.5 kgm) between 1,600 and 4,200 rpm.

The exterior features a dynamic Avantgarde design with a front grille and dedicated dark headlight units, creating a sharp front mask. The adoption of specially designed 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels further enhances its sporty appeal.


Inside, the sports seats are accented with alpaca grey and blue stitching, while the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob also feature alpaca grey stitching throughout, creating a sense of luxury.

In terms of safety, it is equipped with the "Advanced Light Package," which includes the "PRE-SAFE® system" that reduces the risk of collision with vehicles ahead and to the rear using five radar sensors and one camera to support safe driving, and the intelligent light system that ensures optimal visibility according to driving conditions and steering. This achieves a balance of high safety and comfort.


The price is 4.34 million yen for the sedan, an increase of 350,000 yen from the entry-grade model. The station wagon is also 350,000 yen more, priced at 4.54 million yen.
