has released a video showing the development process, with its announcement imminent.
The test driver is F1 driver Michael Schumacher, a seven-time world champion who retired in 2012 after his career with Mercedes GP. In addition to being a brand ambassador, he is also overseeing the company's driver assistance systems, which it calls 'Intelligent Drive,' and is advancing the maturity of core technologies through various tests.
The recently released video also features the camouflaged C-Class driving with the latest driver assistance systems, including 'Distronic Plus,' which recognizes the car ahead via long and short-range radar sensors and maintains a set distance according to speed, and 'BAS Plus (Brake Assist Plus with Cross-Traffic Detection),' which detects the risk of collision with vehicles crossing ahead, merging vehicles, pedestrians, and objects on the road.
Next C-Classis expected to be equipped with devices similar to those in theNew S-Class, which is sure to add new appeal to Mercedes-Benz cars.
