4MATIC Also Available for A 250 Sport

Mercedes-BenzThe "CLA Class," a compact four-door coupe announced in January of this year. Among these, the "CLA 250 Sport" and "CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC," featuring AMG engineering and powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbo engine, have been launched in Europe.



The CLA 250 Sport is based on the existing CLA 250, incorporating AMG's front axle, AMG sports suspension, and AMG speed-sensitive sports steering. Furthermore, the engine and 7G-DCT transmission, as well as the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and exhaust system, have all received sporty tuning.



The exterior comes standard with the "AMG Line," which is an optional feature on the A 250. The wheels are 18-inch AMG 5-spoke black alloy wheels fitted with large, low-profile 235/40R18 tires. The brake calipers visible within are painted red to emphasize sportiness. Red accents on the front and rear aprons further highlight its special status.



A 4MATIC version is also available for the CLA 250 Sport. In conjunction with this, the hatchback "A 250 Sport," which was previously only front-wheel drive, will also introduce the "A 250 Sport 4MATIC."

Meanwhile, the newly introduced "CLA 180 CDI" is equipped with a 1,461cc inline-4 diesel engine, producing a maximum output of 80 kW (109 hp) and a peak torque of 260 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, achieving 0-100 km/h in 11.6 seconds and a top speed of 205 km/h. Fuel consumption is a mere 3.9 liters per 100 km (approximately 25.6 km/l), with CO2 emissions of 102 g/km.



Prices in Europe are approximately 42,304 euros for the CLA 250 Sport and 44,506 euros for the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC. The entry-level CLA 180 CDI is priced at 31,178 euros, and the A 250 Sport 4MATIC, added to the A-Class lineup, is set at 39,955 euros.
