More Luxurious, Based on the S 550 long

Mercedes-Benz Japan announced thatNew S-Class Japan Launchto commemorate the launch, they will release the "S 550 long Edition 1," a special edition based on the "S 550 long," which is equipped with a 4.7-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and a long body.

The interior features an Edition 1 exclusive full leather specification, using the highest quality Nappa leather for the seats and door panels, adorned with diamond stitching. The trim and steering wheel utilize "desino sunburst brown myrtle wood," whose beauty is enhanced by the same surface finishing technique used for violins.

The rear right seat (front passenger side) is equipped with a chauffeur package, combining an executive seat that reclines up to 43.5 degrees with a leg rest, footrest, and chauffeur position function. Furthermore, the rear safety package is also applied, incorporating the latest technology for rear passenger safety, such as automatically raising seatbelt buckles to make fastening easier.




Body colors are available in Diamond White or Anthracite Blue. The AMG Styling Package, which gives the exterior an aggressive impression, is standard, and the vehicle is fitted with 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels. A "Edition 1" exclusive badge is mounted on the body side to signify its special edition status.

The Edition 1 is available only in left-hand drive, with a price of 17.5 million yen, an increase of 2.05 million yen from the base S 550 long. Reservations will be accepted from October 1st, with deliveries beginning in early November.
