The "Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition," commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911's birth, began accepting orders in Japan on July 5. A total of 1,963 units will be manufactured worldwide, referencing the year 1963 when the 911 was born.
This model features a rear-wheel-drive (RR) layout, but it adopts the wide body inherited from the all-wheel-drive "911 Carrera 4" and is equipped with a 3.8-liter flat-six engine that produces a maximum output of 400 ps, similar to the "911 Carrera S". It is characterized by its exclusive 20-inch wheels, inspired by the Fuchs wheels used on the original Porsche 911.Original Porsche 911The front air intakes, engine cover, and the fin between the taillights are finished in chrome, and 50th-anniversary emblems are present both inside and out.

Porsche Japan had initially planned to offer only the PDK model for the Japanese market. However, due to a high volume of inquiries regarding manual transmissions, they decided to introduce the 7-speed manual transmission model. The price is ¥16.37 million, compared to ¥17.12 million for the 7-speed PDK model. It is available only with left-hand drive.
