Jaguar's Three "R" Models Make Dynamic Debut in the UK



Jaguar has announced that it will participate in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held from July 11th to 14th, with three new models bearing the "R" designation, alongside its historic sports cars.

Gran Turismo's Yamauchi Also Participating



This year, Jaguar will again bring classic and new models to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.



The new models have all been previously featured on OPENERS.New York Auto Show 2013The " XJR" unveiled at the XJ" is a sporty version of the flagship saloon.



Goodwood Festival Press PreviewThe " XFR-S" shown to the media at the XFR" shares the same 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine producing 550ps as the "XJR", and is the top athlete of the " XF" lineup, surpassing even the "XFR".



And the " XKR-S GT" is the most circuit-focused Jaguar ever produced as a road-going model. Currently a limited edition of 30 units for the North American market, it will be driven by cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy, who won a record six gold medals for Great Britain at the Olympics, and Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the "Gran Turismo" game.

Additionally, a design study based on the " F-TYPE" is also expected to appear at the event.



Meanwhile, from the heritage collection, the "XK 120," considered Jaguar's first sports car; a development car for the "D-Type" and a reserve car for the 24 Hours of Le Mans; the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans winner "XJR-9"; and the "XJ13," the sole surviving car developed for, but never raced in, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will tackle the Goodwood hill climb.
