Radar Safety Package Now Standard
The "C-Class," a benchmark for premium compact cars and the backbone of Mercedes-Benz, is set to receive equipment and option price adjustments for its sedan and station wagon models, with sales commencing August 1st.
The highlight of this update is the standard inclusion of the "Radar Safety Package" across all models except the "C 180."
The Radar Safety Package, centered around "Distronic Plus" adaptive cruise control, utilizes five radar sensors and one camera to monitor the surroundings ahead and to the rear, supporting safe driving through features including automatic braking. It is a signature optional package for the C-Class.
This standardization effectively translates to a benefit of approximately 120,000 yen for the "C 180 Avantgarde."
Furthermore, the station wagon models now come standard with the "EASY-PACK automatic tailgate," which allows for power opening and closing of the tailgate with adjustable opening height via button operation.
For the "C 180," the "Advanced Light Package," an option enhancing safety during night driving with features like Intelligent Light System and Adaptive Highbeam Assist, has seen its price reduced from 200,000 yen to 150,000 yen. Additionally, for the "C 200 AVANTGARDE," "C 250 AVANTGARDE," and "C 350 AVANTGARDE" models, the option price for leather seats has been reduced from 284,000 yen to 240,000 yen.
