Like a Formula Car

The A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG, bearing the "45" designation previously unseen in AMG models, represent AMG's new generation of compact monster machines. They feature 4MATIC all-wheel drive based on a front-wheel-drive platform and house the most powerful four-cylinder engine in a production car, boasting of this fact.

In terms of performance, they deliver a maximum output of 265kW (360ps) and a peak torque of 450Nm. These are astonishing specifications, surpassing even the supercharged six-cylinder engines found in sports models from German brands. As proof, both models achieve a blistering 0-100km/h acceleration in just 4.6 seconds.

This raises the question: can such potent specifications truly be tamed in cars based on the compact "A-Class" and "CLA-Class"? That's where this video comes in.



In the video, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton tests these two models, and his praise is effusive.

He describes them as "delivering great excitement even in a small car" and "responsive like a Formula car, despite being turbocharged."
