New Model Arrives for the E-Class Station Wagon


DaimlerChrysler Japan has announced three new grades for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Station Wagon: the E320 4MATIC Station Wagon Avantgarde, the E500 Station Wagon Avantgarde, and the E55 AMG Station Wagon. They will go on sale November 20th.

Higher Grades Debut for the Station Wagon


The E320 4MATIC Station Wagon Avantgarde is positioned as the 4WD version of the already released E320 Station Wagon Avantgarde. In addition to full-time 4WD, it is equipped with 4ESPR (4 Electronic Stability Program), which integrates control of the electronic brake system SBCR (Sensotronic Brake Control) and demonstrates its power on slippery surfaces or during evasive maneuvers.

The E500 Station Wagon Avantgarde is equipped with the newly developed 7-speed automatic transmission, 7G-TRONIC, which is already used in the E-Class Sedan and S-Class. For equipment, it features leather seats and a 12-speaker harman/kardon sound system.

The E55 AMG Station Wagon is a model that combines a 5.5-liter V8 SOHC engine with a supercharger and a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing is as follows: the E320 4MATIC Station Wagon Avantgarde is ¥7.85 million, ¥400,000 more than the FR model. The E500 Station Wagon Avantgarde is ¥9 million, and the E55 AMG Station Wagon is ¥12.5 million.
