Balancing Driving Stability and Comfort

The new "E-Class Station Wagon," introduced to Japan about six months after its world premiere, is available in two grades: the "E240 Station Wagon" equipped with a 2.6-liter V6 SOHC engine, and the "E320 Station Wagon Avantgarde" with a 3.2-liter V6 SOHC engine.

The vehicle weight is 1780kg for the wagon, compared to 1650kg for the E240 sedan. The use of lightweight, high-strength materials has helped to minimize weight gain while enhancing rigidity. The braking system features "Sensotronic Brake Control," an electronic system also found in models like the "SL500." The rear suspension is equipped with self-leveling air suspension, which is an optional feature in its home market.

Available only in right-hand drive, the "E240 Station Wagon" is priced at 6.4 million yen, and the "E320 Station Wagon Avantgarde" at 7.45 million yen.
