A New Entry Grade
With this minor change, the "Smart fortwo coupe mhd," previously considered the entry grade for Smart, has been discontinued. Its higher-grade model, the "Smart fortwo coupe mhd plus," has seen its price reduced by 90,000 yen while retaining its equipment, bringing it to the same price as the previous coupe mhd. This now becomes the new entry grade.
Some options have also been reviewed. The "Crystal Grey Package," which includes leather-look seats with seat heaters, combination door trims of leather-look and fabric, and a black leather-look dashboard with crystal grey stitching, was previously only available on limited editions. It is now available on all grades except the "mhd plus" and "electric drive."
Furthermore, genuine leather seats with seat heaters are now available as an option on all grades except the mhd plus and electric drive, with the price reduced from 105,000 yen to 80,000 yen.
To commemorate the new price of 1.59 million yen for the "Smart fortwo coupe mhd plus," Mercedes-Benz will be running a "New Smart 1.59 Million Yen Birth Anniversary Campaign." Those who apply through the official Smart website will be entered into a lottery to win a special low-interest purchase support coupon of 0.01% for 159 winners.
