Design Focused on Beauty When the Roof is Open
The "LC Convertible Concept," a concept car based on the flagship coupe "LC" and developed as a new proposal for the luxurious lifestyle advocated by Lexus, had its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show.
The exterior is based on the LC, with a design that emphasizes its open-top nature. The roof storage area was also carefully considered to create a flowing side view, and large 22-inch wheels were adopted for the footwear.
While inheriting the LC's cockpit, consideration was also given to its appearance from outside the car when the roof is open. The layout, including a driving position that fosters a sense of unity between the driver and the car, and details like the pedals and switches, has been realized with meticulous attention.
The interior creates a sense of quality with a white and black coordination that matches the body color. For a convertible model's interior, the aim was to create a space that balances the feeling of openness and enclosure when the roof is open.
