Celebrating 20 Years of Smart and 90 Years of Mickey Mouse

This collaboration celebrates the 20th anniversary of "smart," which was born this year, and Mickey Mouse, who marks 90 years since his screen debut on November 18, 2018. The result is this special edition model.

The model variations come in two body colors: "Rally Red," inspired by Mickey Mouse's pop image, and "Titania Grey," reminiscent of the retro hues from Mickey Mouse's screen debut.

On both models, Mickey Mouse icons are scattered across the Tridion safety cell from the rear to the sides, with a playful touch of a single, special Mickey hidden among them. The door mirror covers are finished in Mickey's signature yellow, and an emblem featuring the model name, Disney logo, and a Mickey Mouse illustration is affixed next to the door mirrors.



The interior features luxurious full leather. A classic Mickey Mouse is depicted on the headrests, and the leather seats are stitched with Mickey's icons. Furthermore, the interior trim is finished in the same color as the body, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

Additional features include a panoramic roof, which creates an open and bright interior space by allowing natural light to enter from above, and a seat heater for enhanced comfort.

The base model is the "smart fortwo turbo." Its rear-mounted 0.9-liter inline 3-cylinder turbo engine produces a maximum output of 66 kW (90 hp) and a maximum torque of 135 Nm (13.8 kgm). It is paired with a 6-speed DCT transmission and drives the rear wheels (RR).

Orders are accepted until Sunday, March 31, 2019, with prices starting at 3.42 million yen. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2019.
