Golf Variant Special Edition Equipped with Cutting-Edge Features

On Tuesday, November 13, Volkswagen Group Japan began sales of the "Tech Edition," a special specification model of the station wagon "Golf Variant," equipped with features such as a digital meter cluster and genuine navigation system.

Digital Meter Cluster Standard

Following the "Golf Tech Edition" introduced in April this year, the wagon model "Golf Variant" also receives a "Tech Edition" specification.

The available models are the entry-grade "TSI Comfortline" equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo engine producing a maximum output of 77 kW (105 ps) and a maximum torque of 175 Nm (17.8 kgm), and the "TSI Highline" with a 1.4-liter turbo engine producing a maximum output of 103 kW (140 ps) and a maximum torque of 250 Nm (25.5 kgm).

The TSI Comfortline features the "Active Info Display," a digital meter cluster with a large, high-resolution display, for the first time. Additionally, it comes equipped with the genuine navigation system "Discover Pro," LED headlights, and 17-inch exclusive alloy wheels, which were previously optional.

The TSI Highline, on the other hand, enhances safety features by including the "Dynamic Light Assist," which prevents dazzling oncoming traffic when high beams are in use, "Dynamic Cornering Lights" that adjust headlight illumination based on steering input, and LED taillights, in addition to the digital meter cluster and the genuine "Discover Pro" navigation system.

The price is 3,169,000 yen for the TSI Comfortline and 3,669,000 yen for the TSI Highline.
