Enhanced Connectivity Features for Smartphone Integration Now Standard on All Grades
The XF, which underwent a full model change to its second generation in 2015, was joined by the wagon-type "Sportbrake" last year.
For the 2019 model year, a sporty "300 SPORT" grade has been newly added, featuring a powertrain with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline turbo engine boosted to a maximum output of 300ps, bringing the total model lineup to 17 variants.
On the "300 SPORT," exterior elements such as the grille surround, side vents and sills, and mirror caps are unified in dark satin grey. The interior is accented with yellow contrast stitching, and exclusive logos are featured on the tread plates, steering wheel, and headrests.
Furthermore, the "Sportbrake" wagon, previously only available in the "PRESTIGE" grade, is now also offered in the "R-SPORT" grade. Additionally, all-wheel-drive models are now available for the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder diesel engine.
Additionally, connectivity features that integrate with smartphones have been enhanced, including "Remote Premium" for locking/unlocking doors and operating the air conditioning remotely, "InControl Apps" for operating compatible apps from a tablet or smartphone on the vehicle's infotainment screen, "Protect" for SOS calls, and "Wi-Fi Hotspot." These, along with "Lane Keep Assist," are now standard on all grades.
The engine lineup comprises five variants: three types of 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline turbo engines with different outputs and torque, a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged gasoline engine producing a maximum output of 280kW (380ps) and a maximum torque of 450Nm, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine.
Prices range from 6.14 million to 11.56 million yen for the Sedan, and 7.75 million to 7.93 million yen for the Wagon.
