The "Beetle," beloved by many for years, traces its roots back to the "Type I" born in 1941. Its history will draw to a close with the current third-generation model, "The Beetle," introduced in 2012.

The special edition "Meister" was unveiled as the fourth installment of the "See You! The Beetle campaign" being rolled out in conjunction with this. Models bearing the name "Meister" from Volkswagen signify highly refined, mature vehicles.

Three grades will be available: the base "Design" grade equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo engine, the sporty "R Line" with a 1.4-liter turbo, and the "2.0 R Line" with a 2.0-liter turbo. All models come standard with bi-xenon headlights, the genuine navigation system, and a rear-view camera integrated into the rear emblem.

The "The Beetle Design Meister" comes standard with a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters and a dual-zone fully automatic climate control system, and is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels.

The "The Beetle R Line Meister" and "The Beetle 2.0 R Line Meister" come standard with interior leather seats, available in black or red. The top-tier 2.0 R Line also features an electric panoramic sliding roof.

Prices are 3.03 million yen for the Design, 3.48 million yen for the R Line, and 3.97 million yen for the 2.0 R Line.
