SLS AMG GT Arrives in Japan
Mercedes-BenzMercedes-Benz has introduced and launched the SLS AMG GT in Japan, an updated version of its super sports car, the SLS AMG.

Super Sports Car from AMG Gets an Update
As previously reported on OPENERS, the original "SLS AMG" model from AMG has been renamed "SLS AMG GT" andexhibited at the Paris Motor Show 2012. Mercedes-Benz Japan has introduced this SLS AMG GT to Japan.
While the exterior does not differ significantly from the SLS AMG, the 6.3-liter V8 engine has seen a power increase of 15 kW (20 ps), bringing its maximum output to 435 kW (591 ps) at 6,800 rpm. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 3.7 seconds, a 0.1-second improvement over the SLS AMG, and the top speed is 320 km/h, an increase of 3 km/h.
Furthermore, the "AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission" is said to have improved response times in manual mode using the paddle shifters, and the suspension features the standard "AMG RIDE CONTROL performance suspension." Overall, it gives the impression of being modernized and further refined in its driving performance.
The interior, in addition to the standard design with a black base and red stitching, offers the "designo exclusive style leather" with diamond stitching for a significantly enhanced sense of luxury, available as an option for 600,000 yen.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin around March 2013. The steering wheel is on the left side only. The price for the coupe model, "SLS AMG GT," is 26.5 million yen, and for the open-top "SLS AMG GT Roadstar," it is 27.5 million yen.
