Sleeping Space for Up to Five People

Introduced to Japan in 1998, theV-Classhas been available in Japan only as a diesel model since the current generation was released in 2016.

The newly announced "V 220d Marco Polo Horizon" is distinguished by its dedicated equipment, including a pop-up roof, bench seats with a full-flat function, and swivel front seats. These features allow up to five people to sleep comfortably, making it suitable for overnight stays during outdoor excursions.

The pop-up roof on the roof can accommodate two adults and includes reading lights. The seats also fold flat, providing sleeping space for up to three people. Additionally, an under-seat storage box offers ample room for belongings.

Furthermore, the front seats can swivel up to 230 degrees as part of a dedicated seat arrangement, creating a spacious, face-to-face layout with the rear seats.

Safety features include the standard "Radar Safety Package," which incorporates the radar-based "Collision Prevention Assist (CPA)," "Blind Spot Assist," and "Lane Keeping Assist." It also comes equipped with "ATTENTION ASSIST," which detects driver fatigue or drowsiness through over 70 parameters and warns of reduced attention during long drives.

The engine is a 2.2-liter diesel turbo, producing a maximum output of 120 kW (163 ps) and a maximum torque of 380 Nm (38.7 kgm). It drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission.

The price is 8.46 million yen, 2.1 million yen higher than the base model. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July of this year.
