Celebrating 40 Years in F1 with a Focus on Sports Models
Renault showcased five sports models, including the new Mégane R.S., and an F1 show car to commemorate the company's 40th anniversary of participation in Formula 1.
Positioned at the center of the booth, the Mégane R.S. is a sport-hatch making its Japan debut, powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 280ps and 390Nm of torque, and equipped with the "4CONTROL" four-wheel steering system.
The exterior, featuring an F1-style intake blade and LED lamps named "R.S. VISION" inspired by a checkerboard, along with a honeycomb grille pattern on the front, black blade spoilers and air outlets behind the front wheels on the sides, and a rear diffuser, all attest to its R.S. (Renault Sport) identity.
Its body dimensions are 4,372mm in length, 1,874mm in width, and 1,445mm in height, with the special "Orange Tonic M" color exuding a vibrant sheen.
In addition, the newly released "Mégane GT" and the Twingo GT, alongside a show model of an F1 car, a symbol of motorsport, were also on display.
