The 2018 model year Jaguar F-Type enhances its distinctive F-Type character with LED headlamps combined with J-Blade design LED signature lights and a new front bumper design. It also features newly developed performance seats with lightweight magnesium frames, increasing legroom and reducing weight by over 8kg.

In terms of connectivity, the infotainment system "InControl Touch Pro" with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen offering intuitive touch operation and clear graphic display has been enhanced, now as standard equipment across all grades.

Furthermore, it optionally supports "ReRun," the world's first app co-developed with GoPro, the company famous for its wearable cameras. This is the world's first app to record your driving experience in real-time, enabling the recording and review of footage that combines driving video shot with a GoPro camera and vehicle driving data (speed, throttle position, gear selection, braking force, acceleration). The footage can also be downloaded to a smartphone and easily shared on social media.

The powertrain lineup includes the newly adopted 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder "Ingenium" gasoline turbo engine (maximum output 300ps / maximum torque 400Nm), three types of 3.0-liter V6 supercharged gasoline engines (340ps / 450Nm, 380ps / 460Nm, 400ps / 460Nm), and two types of 5.0-liter V8 supercharged gasoline engines (550ps / 680Nm, 575ps / 700Nm), totaling six engine options. Body types are coupe and convertible, transmissions are 8-speed automatic and 6-speed manual, and drive systems are RWD and AWD. Combining these results in a lineup of 28 variations.

Prices range from 7.94 million yen (basic coupe) to 17.87 million yen (SVR coupe) for the coupe, and from 9.59 million yen (basic convertible) to 19.52 million yen (SVR convertible) for the convertible.

The special grade "F-Type 400 Sport," sold exclusively for the 2018 model year, is equipped with an enhanced 400ps 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine and features exclusive equipment throughout, including 20-inch Dark Satin Grey alloy wheels, 400 Sport performance seats, a leather steering wheel with 400 Sport logo, and a premium leather interior. Both body types are exclusively available with an 8-speed automatic transmission, priced at 12.91 million yen (RWD) and 13.62 million yen (AWD) for the coupe, and 14.56 million yen (RWD) and 15.27 million yen (AWD) for the convertible.
