A Popular Color from the Second Generation MINI Returns in a Limited Run of 400 Units
To commemorate "MINI Cooper Day" on September 8th, MINI is reintroducing "Ice Blue," a popular color from the second generation MINI that debuted in 2006, inspired by a sherbet color that swept the world in the 1960s. It will be released in Japan in a limited run of 400 units.

Released to Commemorate "MINI Cooper Day" on September 8th
This year's "MINI Cooper Day" is celebrated under the theme "Play With Your Colour." MINI, which has announced various body color variations in the past, has chosen the reissued "Ice Blue" for this year's Cooper Day.
This Ice Blue is inspired by a color that charmingly expressed MINI's retro-modern aesthetic in the 1960s. A popular color from the second generation MINI has been revived in the third generation, released in 2014.
In addition to the nostalgic body color, the interior features a design that changes its expression with light, inspired by "Bone China," a glossy, milky-white ceramic born in 18th-century London. The limited-edition off-white color is used for the interior.
The models available are the "Cooper 3 Door" and "Cooper 5 Door" with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine, and the "Cooper D 5 Door" with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder diesel turbo engine, making a total of three MINI variants.
A total of 1,540 units will be sold worldwide, with 400 units allocated for Japan. The price for the "Cooper 3 Door" is 3,353,000 yen, the "Cooper 5 Door" is 3,533,000 yen, and the "Cooper D 5 Door" is 3,733,000 yen.
