AMG Line Enhances Interior and Exterior for a Sporty Finish
"Laureus" is the name of a foundation jointly established in 2000 by the Richemont Group, which owns numerous luxury brands, and Daimler AG, with the aim of giving hope and a positive outlook to children worldwide through the power of sport. The "Laureus World Sports Awards," established by this foundation, honors athletes, individuals, and teams who have made the most significant contributions to sport throughout the year. Past recipients include tennis star Serena Williams, F1 champion Michael Schumacher, and track and field legend Usain Bolt.
The new special specification model, the "Laureus Edition," is named in honor of "Laureus," which has ties to the world of sports. Available for both the Sedan and Station Wagon variants of the "C 180" and "C 220 d," this edition features the AMG Line for both its exterior and interior, creating a sporty aesthetic. Additionally, it includes features such as front seat heaters, which are normally an optional extra, and the "Parking Pilot" system to assist with parallel and perpendicular parking.
The "C 180 Laureus Edition" is equipped with sports suspension for a more dynamic driving experience, while the "C 220 d Laureus Edition" features the AIRMATIC agility package, which electronically controls air springs and adaptive dampers for enhanced ride comfort. Station Wagon models also come standard with a panoramic sliding sunroof for an airy cabin.
To commemorate the launch of this new special edition model, a campaign is being held until October 31st. Among the purchasers of the Laureus Edition, 40 individuals will be selected by lottery to receive prizes such as collaboration merchandise with "SHINJI HOUSE," a project by Shinji Kagawa, the first Japanese Laureus Ambassador, and opportunities for soccer experiences with Shinji Kagawa for elementary school students.
The price for the C 180 Laureus Edition Sedan is 4.98 million yen, an increase of 570,000 yen over the base model, and the Station Wagon is 5.40 million yen, an increase of 750,000 yen. The diesel model, C 220 d Laureus Edition Sedan, is priced at 5.75 million yen, and the Station Wagon at 6.19 million yen.
