Top Speed of 340 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 2.8 Seconds

At the annual celebration of sports cars held in Goodwood, England, Porsche's fastest 911 was announced.

The powertrain is based on the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine used in models like the "911 Turbo S." To enhance performance, it features larger turbochargers and an added cooling system that injects water to lower intake air temperature in overboost conditions.

Maximum output isCompared to the previous generation515 kW (700 PS), an increase of 59 kW (80 PS) over the previous generation, and a maximum torque of 750 Nm, an increase of 50 Nm. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a customized 7-speed double-clutch transmission (PDK). The vehicle weighs 1,470 kg with a full tank of fuel, boasting a top speed of 340 km/h and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.

The body utilizes carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) for many parts, including the front fenders. The engine cover is made of magnesium and features a broad character line along the sides. A "Weissach Package" is also available, reducing weight by approximately 30 kg, and adding elements made of CFRP and titanium.

The interior is appointed with standard red Alcantara, black leather, and carbon-patterned interior trim. Full bucket seats are provided, along with a GT2 RS sport steering wheel featuring paddle shifters.

The infotainment system includes the "Porsche Communication Management (PCM)" found in other 911 models. It allows for recording, displaying, and analyzing driving data via a smartphone. With the optional Chrono Package, a performance display is added, enabling the recording and evaluation of lap times.

To commemorate the debut of the "911 GT2 RS," Porsche is also releasing the "911 GT2 RS Watch," a chronograph. This watch can only be purchased when ordering the GT model simultaneously.
