F SPORT Handling Package Also Available

Joining the new "LS" LS, which debuted just this January, is the sporty F SPORT. The F SPORT, also offered on other Lexus models, inherits the spirit of the "F" models like the "RC F" and "GS F"-models, which are geared towards the circuit, while still being tuned for ride comfort and refinement.

Externally, the spindle grille features a unique design. The development of this grille reportedly involved five months of trial and error using CAD. Additionally, the "Ultra White" body paint is exclusively available for the F SPORT.

The interior also features exclusive equipment, including perforated leather seats with enhanced support, an F SPORT steering wheel, aluminum accelerator and brake pedals, a footrest, and a perforated F SPORT shift lever. The trim combines aluminum for an even sportier ambiance. The Circuit Red interior is available exclusively on the F SPORT.

The instrument panel also boasts a unique design, featuring a TFT LCD meter with a meter ring slide mechanism inherited from Lexus's supercar, the LFA.

In terms of driving dynamics, in addition to VDIM (Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management), which comprehensively manages the brakes, steering, powertrain, and suspension to improve vehicle stability and ride comfort, the LS500's FR models offer an optional "F SPORT Handling Package." This includes "Lexus Dynamic Handling," which incorporates variable ratio steering and active rear steering, along with the "Active Stabilizer" and "Sports Tuned Suspension."

While the newly released model is the "LS500 F SPORT" based on the V6 twin-turbo "LS500," a "LS500h F SPORT" with a multi-stage hybrid system will also be available, similar to the previous generation.

Please note that this information is based on the North American specification LS. The specifications for the Japanese market, which will be announced in the near future, have not yet been determined.
