The "Reborn" series, announced as Jaguar's first initiative where specialist technicians source parts and perform comprehensive restorations, debuted with the E-Type Reborn. Jaguar Land Rover had already revived a 1978 Range Rover in February of this year.The first in the "Reborn" serieswas announced.

The E-Type, the basis for the E-Type Reborn, was first unveiled in 1961. Its body lines, inspired by jet aircraft, were distinctive, achieving a top speed of approximately 240 km/h. Even over half a century after its birth, it remains highly popular as a classic road car. The powertrain consists of a 3.8-liter or 4.2-liter inline-six gasoline engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission.

The E-Type Reborn uses 10 carefully selected examples from the first-generation "Series 1 E-Type," manufactured between 1961 and 1968. The vehicle displayed at Techno Classica Essen 2017, an "Opalescent Gunmetal Grey Series 1 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe," reportedly traveled 78,000 miles after being exported to the United States in 1965, before being put into storage in 1983.

The restorations are carried out by experienced and highly skilled Jaguar Classic engineers. While adhering to the original specifications of the 1960s, the restorations are performed using only Jaguar Classic Parts.

Furthermore, optional upgrades are available to buyers, such as the cooling system and all-synchromesh gearbox, which were offered in later Series 1 models.
