A Commemorative Project: Testing Lamborghini Engines in 1993
The "Ayrton Senna: the man and the legend" special exhibition will be held at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the birthplace of Lamborghini, from April 12th to October 9th.
This exhibition commemorates Ayrton Senna, the former F1 champion, who tested a McLaren vehicle equipped with a Lamborghini engine in Estoril in 1993.
With the main theme of the exhibition being "re-examining Senna as a person and an athlete," all the racing cars he drove from his F1 debut to his tragic death will be gathered in one place.
The exhibition begins with the Lambo F1 designed by Mauro Forghieri, followed by a white McLaren of the same model Senna tested in 1993, and its engine.
Furthermore, F1 machines such as the Toleman from his debut, the black Lotus JPS with which he achieved his first victory, the McLaren that brought him numerous successes, and the Williams from his final season, along with two Formula Ford cars that won British and European championships, and the Ralt that dominated F3, will all be present.
Additionally, the concurrently held photo exhibition "Ayrton Senna, The Final Night" is structured to allow visitors to re-experience his great life. From his kart racing beginnings, through his legendary victories and defeats in F1, his relationships with those around him, to the tragic accident and the hours that followed, the highlights of his life are traced through photographs and narration.
The climax, in particular, is his last night at the Hotel Castello. Reflecting on what he might have been thinking then, visitors will be captivated once more by his life and character.
Alongside the special exhibition, the Lamborghini Museum also features its permanent collection, which will be enhanced with the addition of the newly debutedAventador SandHuracán Performantewhich are scheduled to be added.
