Panamera Turbo Japanese Specification Unveiled for the First Time


On Tuesday, February 28, Porsche Japan held a first public unveiling of the Japanese specification for the new Panamera Turbo to the press at the Kiriko Lounge in Tokyu Plaza Ginza.

Panamera Lifted by Crane to the 6th Floor and Brought into Tokyu Plaza Ginza


Fully redesigned last year, it made its Japanese debut this year.New PanameraIn Japan, Porsche offers models such as the Panamera with a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine producing a maximum output of 243kW (330ps), the all-wheel-drive "Panamera 4," and the hybrid "Panamera 4 E-Hybrid." Among these, the top-grade model is the "Panamera Turbo," unveiled this time.


The Panamera Turbo is equipped with a 4.0-liter 8-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 404kW (550ps). Like the other models, it is paired with an 8-speed PDK transmission.

This event also marked the first vehicle exhibition at Tokyu Plaza Ginza, which opened just last March. For its delivery, the Panamera Turbo was hoisted by crane to the 6th floor, requiring road closures from midnight to 6 AM.


Furthermore, Stefan Uch, the development manager for the Panamera, attended the press conference. He commented, "The new Panamera excels in long-distance comfort while also matching dynamic driving on the circuit."
