Huracán Sets Nürburgring Record at 6:52.01

Lamborghini announced that its new Huracán model, the Performante, has set a production car lap record of 6:52.01 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany.

World Premiere at the Geneva Motor Show

The Huracán's high-performance model, the Performante, which means "performance," has claimed the title of fastest at the Nürburgring.

The measurement took place on October 5th of last year. In 2015, at the Nürburgring,Aventador SVLamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli, who recorded a lap time under seven minutes with the "Aventador SV," took the wheel and started the 20.6km lap, setting the best production car record.

While the detailed powertrain specifications have not yet been released, the drivetrain is Lamborghini's familiar all-wheel drive. The body incorporates the latest technologies in aerodynamics and lightweight engineering.

This "Huracán Performante" will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, opening on March 7th. Detailed specifications are expected to be announced at this event.
