Addition of a Hybrid Model

Lexus will globally unveil an additional model of its flagship saloon, the "LS," at the Geneva Motor Show, which begins with press days on Tuesday, March 7th.

The model unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show late last yearNew LSwas the "LS500," equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. The model appearing now is the hybrid "LS500h."

The coupe, which uses the same newly developed rear-wheel-drive platform as the new LS,LC500h"LC500h" is equipped with a multi-stage hybrid system using two motors. Its system's integrated output with the 3.5-liter V6 DOHC engine, which produces a maximum output of 299ps/6,600rpm and a maximum torque of 355kgm/4,900rpm, is 359ps.

Details of the "LS500h," which will be unveiled for the first time in the world, will be revealed on March 7th, the first day of the show.
