Chic Models Combining a Beige Soft Top with a Body of the Same Color

The compact model, which underwent a full model change to its third generation in 2015,smartis available in two versions: the two-seater "fortwo" which is the base for these special editions, and the four-seater forfour. Furthermore, since the third generation, the "smart fortwo cabrio" is not sold as a catalog model but only as a special edition.

The two newly announced special edition models are based on the "smart fortwo turbo". The 0.9-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine mounted in the rear produces a maximum output of 66 kW (90 ps) and a maximum torque of 135 Nm (13.8 kgm).

These special editions, inspired by Italy where the smart fortwo cabrio is highly popular, feature a chic beige soft top. The body color for the "smart cabrio macchiato" is crystal white, while the "smart cabrio espresso" is deep black, with the entire body finished in a uniform color.

The interior has been given a sense of luxury, including the adoption of leather seats with seat heaters.

The price for both is 2.55 million yen, and orders will be accepted until Friday, March 31st.
