New Grade Added and Specifications Updated for the C-Class
On February 1st (Wednesday), Mercedes-Benz Japan introduced the four-wheel-drive "C 200 4MATIC Avantgarde" and the entry-grade "C 180 Coupe" for the C-Class Sedan and Station Wagon. Simultaneously, some equipment specifications were updated.

Four-Cylinder Gasoline Models Feature Upgraded 9-Speed AT Transmission
The "C-Class," with the addition of two models and some equipment changes,Sedan,Station WagonandCoupe. For the Sedan and Station Wagon, the "4MATIC" four-wheel-drive system, previously exclusive to six-cylinder models, is now available for the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo "C 200."
Meanwhile, the transmission for gasoline engine models has been upgraded from the previous 7-speed AT to the latest 9-speed AT, "9G-TRONIC." Mercedes-Benz claims this enhances comfort and quietness by reducing shift shock and lowering engine RPMs.
Furthermore, for the "C 200 Avantgarde" and "C 220 d Avantgarde," the "Radar Safety Package," previously a standard safety feature, is now an optional extra, resulting in a price reduction of 200,000 yen.
Concurrently, Mercedes-Benz is running a "Radar Safety Free Campaign" from February 1st (Wednesday) to March 31st (Friday). During this period, the "Radar Safety Package," which is a manufacturer's option for the C-Class, can be equipped at no additional cost for other models includingA-Class,B-Class,CLA,CLA Shooting Brake,GLA. For eligible C-Class models, this effectively translates to a price reduction.
Additionally, the "Head-Up Display," which projects information within the driver's line of sight, has been added as an option to the "Premium Package" and "Exclusive Package" for the Sedan. For the Station Wagon, it becomes standard equipment on some trims, resulting in a price increase of 100,000 yen.
Entry-Grade "C 180 Coupe" Priced Under 5 Million Yen
The C-Class Coupe lineup welcomes the "C 180 Coupe" as its new entry model, strategically priced below 5 million yen. The 9-speed AT transmission is standard on the "C 180 Coupe" and "C 180 Coupe Sport" models.
The "C 180 Coupe Sport" sees an update with standard front seat heaters, memory seats, and the "Automatic Belt Feeder," which automatically advances the seatbelt when the ignition is turned on after closing the door. This results in a price increase of 160,000 yen, bringing the total to 5.63 million yen.
Prices for the C-Class Sedan are as follows: "C 200 4MATIC Avantgarde" at 5.51 million yen, "C 180" at 4.36 million yen, "C 180 Avantgarde" at 4.86 million yen, "C 200 Avantgarde" at 5.25 million yen, "C 220 d Avantgarde" at 5.50 million yen, "C 250 Sport" at 6.70 million yen, and "C 350 e Avantgarde" at 7.21 million yen.
C-Class Station Wagon prices are: "C 200 4MATIC Avantgarde" at 5.87 million yen, "C 180" at 4.60 million yen, "C 180 Avantgarde" at 5.30 million yen, "C 180 Sport" at 5.76 million yen, "C 200 Avantgarde" at 5.61 million yen, "C 200 Sport" ranging from 6.08 to 6.47 million yen (leather specification), "C 200 4MATIC Sport" ranging from 6.34 to 6.73 million yen (leather specification), "C 220 d Avantgarde" at 5.87 million yen, "C 220 d Sport" ranging from 3.64 to 6.73 million yen (leather specification), "C 250 Sport" at 7.53 million yen, and "C 350 e Avantgarde" at 7.98 million yen.
C-Class Coupe prices are: "C 180" at 4.99 million yen, "C 180 Sport" at 5.63 million yen, and "C 300 Sport" at 7.08 million yen.
