Two Special Limited Editions for the Volkswagen Polo

On Wednesday, January 24, Volkswagen Group Japan announced two special limited editions of the compact hatchback "Polo," each equipped with a navigation system. The "Polo Active" was limited to 800 units, and the premium specification "Polo Original" was limited to 500 units at launch.

The "Polo Original" Premium Grade Pays Homage to the First Generation Polo

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the "Polo" Polo, with two special limited editions featuring navigation systems. Both models are powered by a 1.2-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing a maximum output of 66 kW (90 ps) and a peak torque of 160 Nm (16.3 kgm), paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission.

The "Polo Active" is based on the mid-range TSI Comfortline grade and features a genuine navigation system. It is further equipped with 15-inch 10-spoke wheels and an ETC onboard unit. Body colors and production numbers include 300 units in Blue Silk Metallic, 300 units in Pure White, and 200 units in Flash Red, totaling 800 units. The price is ¥2,365,000.

Meanwhile, the "Polo Original," based on the premium TSI Highline grade, pays homage to the first-generation Polo. It features a metallic orange body color reminiscent of the original, along with a combination of checked fabric and leatherette seats.

The equipment is also comprehensive. In addition to the genuine navigation system and ETC onboard unit, it includes a leather handbrake grip and shift knob, exclusive door sill plates, and 16-inch 10-spoke wheels and tires.

Body colors include 300 units in Honey Orange Metallic and 200 units in Titanium Beige Metallic. The price is ¥2,655,000.
