Focusing on the Human Drama Behind the Speed

The Japan Racing Photographers Association (JRPA) was founded in 1971 and is an organization of professional motorsport photographers. They continue to shoot widely, conveying the emotion and excitement of motorsport events held both domestically and internationally.

We are now holding the "2017 Japan Racing Photographers Association Exhibition COMPETITION." This exhibition will feature a curated selection of the most compelling single shots captured by our members at circuits around the world during 2016.

This year's exhibition will also includePublic submissions by amateur photographersexpanding the diversity of the works on display.

While motorsport often draws attention to the speed of machines hurtling down the track, the lens also captures a wealth of human drama: the joy of victory, the despair of defeat, and the intense concentration before the start.

We hope you will feel the spirit of the athletes, who wrestle with their machines in pursuit of the ultimate result, through these powerful photographs.
