Engine: 5-Liter V8 from the RC F and GS F
This pleasure boat has been developed and sold by Toyota Motor Corporation, Lexus' parent company, since 1997. To date, approximately 900 boats have been sold in Japan. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of this marine business this year, Lexus developed this luxury open cruiser as one of its new proposals.
The boat measures 12.7 meters in length and 3.86 meters in width, with seating for eight people. The hull, molded from carbon fiber for high rigidity and light weight, incorporates a clean, three-dimensional form. The open deck seats feature an asymmetrical design that allows for forward-facing or sideways seating. This embodies Lexus' vision of elegant yet dynamic styling.
The bow cabin inside the cruiser reflects Japanese aesthetics. It features a calm design and evocative lighting, along with a high-end Mark Levinson audio system, also used in Lexus vehicles.
The powertrain consists of two 5.0-liter V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engines, tuned for marine use, which are also found in Lexus' F models like the "RC F" and "GS F," as well as the luxury coupe "LC." Each engine produces 330 kW (450 hp) at 6,300 rpm, delivering a combined 900 horsepower. The yacht is capable of reaching a top speed of 43 knots (approximately 80 km/h).
Furthermore, the cruiser is equipped with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery system for its onboard power, ensuring low emissions and quiet operation.
Akio Toyoda, who also serves as Lexus' Chief Branding Officer, commented, "The Sport Yacht Concept is a proposal for new mobility that expands the lifestyle offered by Lexus."
