The GTS variants are the "911 Carrera", "911 Carrera Cabriolet", "911 Carrera 4", "911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet", and the "911 Targa", a modern interpretation of the model of the same name that debuted in 1965. These five models will be available.
The powertrain features a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder boxer turbo engine, which was revamped to a downsizing turbo during the minor change. The maximum output is 331 kW (450 ps), 22 kW (30 ps) higher than the 911 Carrera S. This is 15 kW (20 ps) more than the previous generation 911, which had a naturally aspirated engine. Meanwhile, the maximum torque is 550 Nm, and all models are paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission.
Among the five models, the "911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe" boasts the best acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The top speed for all GTS models exceeds 300 km/h, with the rear-wheel-drive "911 Carrera GTS" being the fastest at 310 km/h.
Emphasis has also been placed on environmental performance. For the "911 Carrera GTS", fuel consumption is reported as 8.3 L/100 km (approximately 12.0 km/L) with CO2 emissions of 188 g/kg under the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle).
The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard, and the ride height is 10 mm lower than the Carrera and Carrera S. Furthermore, the GTS coupe models feature a sports chassis, lowering the ride height by an additional 10 mm. The cars are equipped with 20-inch tires.
Looking at the exterior, all GTS models adopt the wide body characteristic of the all-wheel-drive variants. They feature a newly designed front apron, optimizing front aerodynamics. A black twin-tailpipe sports exhaust system is standard at the rear. For rear-wheel-drive models, a black trim connecting the left and right taillights adds a distinctive accent.
Inside, the Sport Chrono Package is included, with the stopwatch mounted in the center of the dashboard. The seats are upholstered in Alcantara with a new stitching pattern, and the GTS logo is embossed on the headrests.
Additionally, the smartphone app "Porsche Track Precision" has been updated to coincide with the GTS debut. It now allows for automatic recording of driving data, as well as detailed display and analysis, all from a smartphone.
Both right-hand and left-hand drive configurations are available. Pricing is as follows: "911 Carrera GTS" at 17.5 million yen, "911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet" at 20.16 million yen, "911 Carrera 4 GTS" at 18.5 million yen, "911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet" at 21.16 million yen, and "911 Targa 4 GTS" also at 21.16 million yen.
