Flagship with AMG Sport Package

Mercedes-Benz Japan has begun sales of two special edition models for its flagship sedan, the S-Class: the "S 350 BlueEFFICIENCY Grand Edition" and the "S 550 BlueEFFICIENCY long Grand Edition."

The "S350 BlueEFFICIENCY Grand Edition" comes standard with the sporty "AMG Package," which includes 19-inch AMG aluminum wheels and a black ash sports steering wheel wrapped in leather. While normally an 800,000 yen option, it is set at 10.85 million yen for this "Grand Edition," a mere 100,000 yen increase over the base model.

Like the base S350 BlueEFFICIENCY, it is also eligible for the Eco-Car Tax Reduction (100% exemption on weight tax and acquisition tax) and the Green Tax Incentive Program (50% reduction on the following year's automobile tax).

The "S550 BlueEFFICIENCY long" also comes standard with the "AMG Package," along with the "Luxury Seat Package," which is normally a 500,000 yen option. This package includes multi-contour seats with finer adjustments for the backrest and seat cushion, a dynamic driving seat function that supports occupant posture during cornering, and a massage function. Despite including these options, the price is 15.45 million yen, only 100,000 yen higher than the base "S550 BlueEFICIENCY long."
