The "THE PEAK" model being released this time is a limited edition with special equipment added to the 5 Series. The base models are the "523i M Sport," equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine, and the "523d M Sport," with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder diesel turbo engine. Both are available in both sedan and wagon (Touring) body styles.

Special equipment includes 19-inch M Light Alloy Wheels and exclusive black kidney grilles. The interior features a chic combination of black Dakota leather seats and Fineline Anthracite Wood trim. As befits a limited edition, exclusive accessories such as an interior badge with a serial number and a key case are also included.

The price for the 523i M Sport THE PEAK Sedan is 7.12 million yen, and the 523d M Sport THE PEAK Sedan is 7.35 million yen. For the Touring models, the 523i M Sport THE PEAK is 7.47 million yen, and the 523d M Sport THE PEAK is 7.70 million yen. The total number of units for all four models is limited to just 260.
