The exterior features exclusive carbon door mirrors. Complementing this, the 19-inch aluminum wheels, finished in a grey paint, add a distinctive touch to the wheels. Inside, the car boasts Nappa leather seats with a carbon-like texture, creating a cohesive look with the carbon door mirrors.

The powertrain of the base Golf R features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine, producing a maximum output of 206 kW (280 ps) at 5,100-6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 380 Nm (38.7 kgm) at 1,800-5,100 rpm. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG transmission.

For body colors and sales quantities, the MT model is available only in Lapis Blue Metallic, with a limited run of 20 units. The DSG model comes in Lapis Blue Metallic for 50 units, and Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, an additional 64,800 yen option, for 30 units, totaling 80 units. The price for the MT model is 5.56 million yen, and for the DSG model, it is 5.66 million yen.
