A Sportier "TSI R-Line" for the Touran

Volkswagen Group Japan announced on the 21st that it has introduced the "TSI R-Line," featuring a sporty interior and exterior, for the 7-seater compact MPV "Golf Touran." Sales have commenced.

The newly introduced "TSI R-Line" is based on the existing premium "TSI Highline" grade, powered by a 1.4-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine producing a maximum output of 110 kW (150 ps) and peak torque of 250 Nm (25.5 kgm). The interior and exterior are enhanced with R-Line exclusive parts from Volkswagen R GmbH, known for its work on racing machines.

The exterior is made more aggressive with dedicated front bumpers and side skirts. The interior also features R-Line exclusive fabric seats and door sill plates, creating a sporty yet refined atmosphere.

Safety equipment is standard, mirroring the "TSI Highline," and includes a pre-crash brake system, lane keeping assist, and driver fatigue detection system.

The body is available in five colors, including the new Habanero Orange Metallic, as well as white, silver, black, and blue. The price is 3,974,000 yen.
