Lamborghini's Latest and Most Powerful Aventador Challenges the King of the Skies!
“We know supercars are fast, but just how fast are they?” A video that answers this simple question in an easy-to-understand way has been released on YouTube by Denmark’s “Bil Magasinet.” This is truly remarkable.

Fighting Falcon vs. Rampaging Bull
Increased engine output, improved chassis performance, and the adoption of electronic devices. These elements grant today's super sports cars astonishing speed. Among them, Lamborghini consistently presents mind-blowing specifications with each new model.
However, while we generally understand that these cars are "incredibly fast," many people may not quite grasp "just how incredibly fast" they are.
“Then let’s have them race!” We discovered a video that makes this point clearly.
Indeed. By having them race alongside a competitor, it might be easier to visually grasp just how fast they are.
The question is, “What should it compete against?” The Aventador is Lamborghini's flagship model. As a competitor for the latest and most powerful model, which produces 700 horsepower, a mere car simply wouldn't suffice.
The super machine prepared for this challenge is none other than a current fighter jet of the Danish Air Force! What on earth is this?
Developed and produced by General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin) of the United States, the F-16 fighter jet, categorized as a fourth-generation jet fighter, is one of the "most powerful fighter jets" with exceptional combat capabilities among the many jet fighters flying the skies worldwide. Its nickname is the "Fighting Falcon."
While the Aventador boasts Lamborghini's most powerful engine to date and a top speed of 350 km/h, the maximum speed of its opponent in this race is Mach 2. In terms of kilometers per hour, depending slightly on temperature and air pressure, this is approximately 2,450 km/h.
Logically, it seems like an unfair match... to be frank. The jet engine equipped in this F-16 fighter jet, again with slight variations depending on speed and air pressure, can reach a maximum output of approximately 98,000 horsepower when using the afterburner – a device akin to a turbo or NOS in a car. In terms of horsepower alone, it's 140 times that of the Aventador. It's like a reigning sumo grand champion showing up at a children's sumo tournament. "How unsportsmanlike! How incredibly unsportsmanlike!" I thought.
The opponent is a fighter jet with roughly 100,000 horsepower. The track is wet. The venue is a complete away game at an air force base.
A tough battle is all but inevitable. The opponent is simply too formidable. While I could vaguely imagine the outcome, and as a car enthusiast editor, I felt a bit disheartened, I watched the video, and there, an unbelievable sight unfolded! Please watch the video to see the rest for yourself.
