Black & Skull
With roots as a military vehicle for NATO, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, affectionately known as the "Gelandewagen," continues to sell exceptionally well even after 30 years, thanks to its formidable off-road capability and a design that has remained virtually unchanged since its inception. The G55 AMG Long is the most powerful model within the G-Class lineup, boasting a 5.5-liter V8 supercharged engine that delivers a maximum output of 373 ps (507 kW) and peak torque of 700 Nm (71.4 kgm). This G55 AMG Long is now the subject of a special collaboration model with "mastermind JAPAN."
mastermind JAPAN is a high-end brand that uses the skull as its brand icon and is committed to MADE IN JAPAN quality. This brand closed the "Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo 2012 S/S" shows.
This limited edition vehicle is handcrafted one by one at the "AMG Performance Studio," the custom order workshop at Mercedes-AMG headquarters in Germany.
The exterior features an Obsidian Black body color, with the front grille, aluminum wheels, and side steps also painted in matte black. Furthermore, the "Three-Pointed Star," the Mercedes-Benz symbol on the front grille, has also been finished in black.
A single chrome skull emblem is mounted on each of the front fenders and the rear end, serving as a striking accent against the all-black body.
The interior echoes the "black plus skull" theme, with a black interior as the base, and silver-stitched skull embroidery adorning the headrests and center armrests.
The vehicle's base price is 20 million yen (tax included). Production is limited to five units, and applications are open until June 10th. A lottery will be held if there are more applicants than available units.
